Daniela Piedade

Daniela de Oliveira Piedade ( born March 2, 1979 in São Paulo) is a Brazilian handball player who belonged to the squad of the Brazilian national team.

Career

In the club

Daniela Piedade began in 1993, the handball matches in a Brazilian school. In 2002, the county player joined the Austrian club Hypo Niederösterreich Austria. In Hypo Piedade ran in the first six months until the second team and was only then the first-team squad on. The later captain of Hypo won in each season, both the Austrian Championship as well as the ÖHB Cup.

Since the summer of 2012, the Brazilian is the Slovenian club RK Krim under contract. In September of the same year, she suffered a stroke just before a training game. After a several month hiatus, they finally celebrated their comeback in January 2013. With Crimea Piedade 2013 also won the domestic double.

In the National Team

Daniela Piedade took the Brazilian selection in part at the 14th Pan American Games in Santo Domingo, at the 15th Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro and at the 16th Pan American Games in Guadalajara, where they each won the gold medal. Furthermore, the Brazilian took part in the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing and the 2012 Olympic Games in London.

Daniela Piedade was six times in the Brazilian World Cup squad. At the 2013 World Championships in Serbia Dani celebrated winning the World Cup title. In the Pan-American Championships she recorded four tournament victories - most recently in 2013.
