Daniil Jewgenjewitsch Sobtschenko (Russian Даниил Евгеньевич Собченко, Ukrainian Данило Євгенович Собченко / Danylo Jewhenowytsch Sobtschenko; * April 13, 1991 in Kiev, Ukrainian SSR; † 7 September 2011 in Tunoschna near Yaroslavl ) was a Russian- Ukrainian ice hockey player who during his career was under contract with Lokomotiv Yaroslavl in the Kontinental Hockey League.

Career

Daniil Sobtschenko began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the junior department of the HK Sokol Kiev. From there he moved to the youth department of the Russian first division club Lokomotiv Yaroslavl, for the second team, he was active from 2007 to 2009 in the third-class Perwaja league. Subsequently, the Center was in season 2009/10 for Lokomotives first team debut in the Continental Hockey League. In his rookie year he was able to win right away in the KHL and achieve five goals and an assist in 41 games. In parallel, he came in six games for Lokomotives Junior team in the Junior League multinational Molodjoschnaja Chokkeinaja League used and contributed four assists at.

The 2010/11 season began Sobtschenko parallel in Lokomotives KHL team, as well as their juniors in the MHL. NHL Entry Draft 2011, he was selected in the sixth round as a total 166 players from the San Jose Sharks. On September 7, 2011, he died in a plane crash near Yaroslavl killed.

Internationally

For Russia Sobtschenko took part in the U20 World Youth Championship in 2011, when he won the gold medal with his team. To win the title he wore with four goals and three assists in seven games.
