Danilo Fernando Avelar

Danilo Fernando Avelar ( June 9, 1989 in Paranavaí, Paraná ) is a Brazilian footballer who is the Ukrainian club Karpaty Lviv under contract and is on loan until the end of the 2012/13 season at the Serie A club Cagliari Calcio. He is usually summoned left-back.

Career

Avelar began his career in the youth at Atlético Clube Paranavaí before he was brought into the first team in 2004. In 2006 he moved to Joinville, however, remained there only a year and joined Paraná Clube in 2007. Again, only one year later, the next move to Rio Claro FC. In early July 2010, he left Brazil and moved on loan for five months in the Ukraine to Karpaty Lviv. After he had come there in 14 league games for use, Karpaty Lviv attracted the purchase option and took Avelar for five years under contract. Overall, he stood for Lviv 18 times in the league and eleven times in the Europa League - including in two group games against Borussia Dortmund - on the court.

In January 2011, left-footed Avelar was given until the end of the 2010/11 season in the German Bundesliga club FC Schalke 04, who received the option of a subsequent purchase. Since he could not prevail, he returned to Lviv. There he came in the 2011/12 season due to injury only five appearances in which he scored two goals.

In July 2012, Danilo Avelar on loan for a year at the Italian first division club Cagliari Calcio, which also has a purchase option.
