Danilo Hondo
Danilo Hondo ( born January 4, 1974 in Wilhelm- Pieck -Stadt Guben ) is a German racing cyclist since 1997 as a professional.
Career
Hondo greatest successes were numerous stage wins at the Peace Race (1998, 1999, 2000, 2003, 2006 ) and the Giro d' Italia ( 2001). 2002 Hondo became German champion during the German road championship in Buhl.
In 2005 Hondo seemed to be floating before his breakthrough; so he took second place at the spring classic Milan-San Remo and won two stages of the Spanish Vuelta a Murcia. A positive doping test during the Vuelta a Murcia in 2005 and the subsequent one-year competition ban, which was then extended to two years, seemed his sporting career to an end. On 17 March 2006, the ban was lifted temporarily.
On April 13, Hondo signed a contract until the end of 2006 with a buy-out clause at the German Continental team Lamonta. Previously, it was him and his manager Tony Rominger not been able to get a contract in the ProTour. Doping
2005

2006
