Danish Seamen's Church and Church Abroad

The Danske Sømands -og Udlandskirker ( DSUK - Danish sailor and abroad churches ) is the Danish Evangelical Lutheran Church outside Denmark. It owns, among others, the Danish Church in South Schleswig.

It includes, among others, a town in Australia, three in Asia, four in South and seven churches in North America, communities in Hamburg and Berlin as well as in Geneva and more other in seven European cities. The Danish Church in South Schleswig consists of 35 municipalities with about 6,800 members (currently Viggo Jacobsen ) are supported by 23 pastors and a provost.

The DSUK went from the Association of Danish Seamen's Church, founded in 1867, and the Danish Church Abroad, founded in 1919, forth. The churches have at least one permanent Danish pastor in Denmark itself employs the DSUK another ten employees.
