Danny Aiello

Daniel Louis Aiello, Jr. ( born June 20, 1933, Brooklyn, New York City ) is an American actor and singer. Aiello is the second youngest of six children and came from a Italian-American family. His father left the family in the lurch, although the mother went blind due to a disease. Before Aiello became an actor, he had numerous other professions. He was a soldier, president of the bus drivers' union in New York took a job as a bouncer and announcer. Finally, he landed a role on Broadway. Only in 1973 he got his first film role in the last game. Since 1955, he is married to Sandy Cohen and with her had two sons: Danny Aiello III ( 1957-2010 ) and Rick Aiello ( b. 1958 ). Danny died 1 May 2010, from pancreatic cancer. In 1986, he played the male lead in the video for Madonna's song Papa Do not Preach.
