Daniel " Danny" Allsopp ( born August 10, 1978 in Melbourne ) is a former Australian football player.

Club career

Career start in Australia until 1998

Danny Allsopp began his active career by a fellow at the Victorian Institute of Sport in 1995 at Croydon City in the Victorian Premier League ( VPL ). In summer 1995, he moved to South Melbourne FC in the National Soccer League. After only sporadically as a substitute came in Melbourne in his second year to the course, he joined in 1997 the league rivals and local rivals Carlton SC to, but after a short time at Port Melbourne Sharks gave him in the VPL.

Seven years in England, 1998-2005

In 1998 he was invited to the tryouts to England and finally obliged by manager Joe Royle for the transfer fee of £ 10,000 by the then third division club Manchester City. In his first season with the Citizens Allsopp was still regularly used and carried by four goals to the rise. In the second division season 1999/2000 he was rarely used and the end of 1999 was therefore initially awarded for a month to Notts County in February and March 2000, he played for a few weeks on loan at Wrexham AFC. Success in the A-League, 2005-2009

In the spring of 2005, he broke his contract with Hull on to sign the newly established Australian A-League for Melbourne Victory. His first season in Melbourne was disappointing for the attacker, he himself met only four times, Melbourne failed to reach the finals as a seventh- clear. The 2006/ 07 was much more successful for him. He benefited from the offensive qualities of the new arrival Fred, who was in these statistics with nine assists League Best and formed the attack with Archie Thompson the most dangerous attacking duo in the league. While Thompson finished the regular season with ten goals to Allsopp could get with eleven goals the title of the scorer. Stay in Qatar and the MLS, 2009-2010

Shortly after the start of the 2009/10 season Allsopp moved to Qatari club Al - Rayyan and there wrote a financially lucrative contract. National

Allsopp, in 1995, with the Australian U- 17 team at the U -17 World Championship in Ecuador in part. Two years later he played with the U -20 at the Junior World Cup in Malaysia, came in reaching the fourth round but only two brief appearances.
