Danny Boffin

Danny Boffin (* July 10, 1965 in Sint- Truiden ) is a former Belgian international footballer.

Life

Boffin played in youth at VV St. Truiden. In 1987 he moved to FC Liege, where he was a regular player at first. In 1991 he moved to RSC Anderlecht, where he was champion three times and was able to celebrate a Cup win. In 1997 he went to France for FC Metz. With the club he was vice-champion in 1998 and 1999 was the final of the Coupe de la Ligue where the RC Lens prevailed 1-0. In spring 2001, Boffin returned to Belgium back to his hometown club VV St. Truiden. Here the defender developed Torgefahr: In 96 games he scored 29 goals. In 2003 he moved to Standard Liege. There, however, he came only five appearances and finished in the summer of 2004 his active career.

Boffin was between 1989 and 2002 Belgian national team. In 53 international matches, he scored a goal. He belonged to the Belgian squad at the World Championships in 1994, 1998 and 2002.
