Daniel Noel " Danny" Drinkwater (born 5 March 1990 in Manchester, England) is an English footballer. He is since 2012 in Leicester City under contract.

Career

Born in Manchester, Danny Drinkwater went through the youth academy of Manchester United. In 2009, he signed a professional contract with the club, coached by Alex Ferguson. Since its potential for use were very low in the high-class team occupied, he moved in 2009 on loan to Huddersfield Town in Football League One, the third class. Add to Huddersfield Drinkwater profiled fast as a regular player in central midfield. His new team ended the season in sixth place, but failed in the first play-off round on later promoted Millwall FC.

At the beginning of the season in the second-rate Football League Championship 2010/11 he moved on loan to Cardiff City. Cardiff had the ascent just missed in the Premier League in the 2009/10 season and also ranks this season the favorites.

Since Danny Drinkwater as hoped to use was not in Cardiff, brought him back and gave him ManU prematurely on 28 January 2011 to the second division Watford FC.

On August 23, 2011 Manchester United announced that Drinkwater will be borrowed until January 2, 2011 at the Barnsley FC.

On January 20, 2012 Manchester United announced that Drinkwater will switch to Leicester City. Drinkwater signed in Leicester a three and a half -year contract until 30 June 2015.
