Danny Irmen

Danny Irmen ( born September 6, 1984 in Fargo, North Dakota ) is an American professional ice hockey player who is under contract with HC Thurgau in the Swiss National League B since March 2013.

Career

Danny Irmen began his career as a hockey player with the Lincoln Stars, for which he was active from 2001 to 2003 in the Junior League United States Hockey League. In the season 2002/ 03 he won with his team the Clark Cup, the championship of the USHL. In addition, he was named Most Valuable Player of the playoffs and was elected to the second all-star team in the league. Then the winger in the NHL Entry Draft, was selected in 2003 in the third round than a total of 78 players from the Minnesota Wild. First, however, he spent three years at the University of Minnesota, for their hockey team he played in parallel in the National Collegiate Athletic Association. With his University team he won the 2004 championship of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association.

Towards the end of the season 2005/ 06 Irmen was for the Houston Aeros, the farm team of the Minnesota Wild, his debut in professional hockey, as he prepared two goals in eleven games in the American Hockey League. In the following four years he played almost exclusively for the Houston Aeros in the AHL. Only in the 2009/10 season he played two games for the Minnesota Wild of the National Hockey League, where he remained point and impunity. The 2010/11 season spent the Americans at the HC Bolzano in Italy's Serie A1. He was then committed for the following season by the EHC Linz of the Austrian Hockey League and won with the Black Wings, the Austrian Championship.

In March 2013 Irmen moved to HC Thurgau in the Swiss National League B.
