Danny Joe Brown

Danny Joe Brown ( born August 24, 1951 in Jacksonville, Florida, † 10 March 2005 in Davie, Florida ) was an American singer and founding member of American rock band Molly Hatchet.

Danny Joe Brown founded in 1975 in Jacksonville, the group Molly Hatchet. He also composed songs for the group, whose biggest hits, among others, Flirtin ' With Disaster, Whiskey belonged Man and Gator Country.

After an endless series of tours Brown got out due to exhaustion from the group in 1980. His long-standing severe diabetes forced him several times for health reasons to interruptions of his music career. Some years later, in 1988, he came with his album Lightning Strikes Twice to Molly Hatchet back.

1995 Brown joined in the middle of the recording of the album Devil 's Canyon, again for health reasons, finally back. He was looking for his successor Phil McCormack yourself. Brown suffered a stroke in 1998 and died on 10 March 2005 from the effects of pneumonia.
