Danny Koevermans
Danny Koevermans ( born November 1, 1978 in Schiedam ) is a Dutch football player. Since summer 2011, the striker is the MLS team of the Toronto FC under contract.
Career
Association
His career began when Koevermans Schiedam amateur club Excelsior '20. In the 2000 /01 season he was at Sparta Rotterdam his debut in professional football. In Sparta, he became a prolific striker, and was one of the Topscorern the Eerste Divisie. For the 2005/06 season he signed for AZ Alkmaar, where he remained only two seasons. 2007 he moved to PSV Eindhoven. Already in his first season there, he was able to win with the Red and Whites the Dutch championship. Koevermans was able to contribute 14 goals to win the title.
On 29 June 2011, its exchange for Toronto FC was announced. He made his debut in Major League Soccer on July 20, 2011 against FC Dallas.
National
His debut in the Dutch national team, he was at the age of 28 in the qualifying campaign for the 2008 European Football Championship against Slovenia. His first goal he scored in the 1-0 win against Luxembourg on 17 November 2007.
