Danny McFarlane

Danny McFarlane ( born June 14, 1972 at Saint Mary Parish ) is a retired Jamaican athlete who won a medal in the 4 x 400 - meter relay at five consecutive World Championships.

Life

By 2002, McFarlane was a 400 - meter runner with a personal best of 44.90 s in 1995, which rarely reached a grand finale. He finished eighth at the 2000 Olympics and third at the World Indoor Championships in 2001.

In 2003, McFarlane to the 400 - meter hurdles and was fourth at the World Championships. In the 2004 Olympics he won the silver medal in 48.11 s behind Félix Sánchez from the Dominican Republic. In the semifinals, he had set up with his personal best 48.00 s.

At the World Championships in 2007 McFarlane was fifth in the Olympic Games in Beijing Fourth and the following year at the World Championships in Berlin sixth.

Danny McFarlane had a competition weight of 75 kg at a height of 1.84 m. In 2012, he finished his career.

Successes with the Season

At the Pan American Games in 1999 McFarlane won its only gold medal with the Jamaican relay.
