Danny Syvret

Danny Syvret ( born June 13, 1985 in Millgrove, Ontario ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is since July 2013 with the New York Rangers in the National Hockey League contract. His brother Corey is also a professional hockey player.

Career

Danny Syvret began his career as a hockey player with the London Knights, for by 2005 he was active from 2002 in the Canadian Junior Football League Ontario Hockey League. With the Knights, he won in the 2004/05 season the first J. Ross Robertson Cup, and then the Memorial Cup, the final of the championship of the Canadian Hockey League. The defender played a big part in the success of his team, so he was elected to the All- Star team of the OHL, the CHL and the Memorial Cup final tournament. In addition, he was awarded the Max Kaminsky Trophy and the CHL Defenceman of the Year. Then the shooter was left in the third round as a total 81 players selected in the NHL Entry Draft by the Edmonton Oilers in 2005, for which he 2005-2007 but graduated only 26 games in the National Hockey League. He prepared a target. He mainly played for the farm team of the Oilers of the American Hockey League, the Grand Rapids Griffins, Springfield Falcons and Hershey Bears.

On 6 June 2008 Syvret was released in exchange for Ryan Potulny to the Philadelphia Flyers, for whom he played two NHL games in the 2008 /09 season, while he spent the rest of the time with their AHL farm team Philadelphia Phantoms. In the 2009/10 season, Syvret was exclusively for the Flyers in the NHL on the ice. In July 2010 he signed a temporary one-year contract with the Anaheim Ducks.

On 30 September 2010 he was put together with hard board Erling on the Waiverliste. After being selected by any NHL team, Syvret was sent on October 1 to the Syracuse Crunch in the American Hockey League. On 21 November 2010 he was sent together with Rob Bordson for Patrick Maroon and David Laliberte to the Philadelphia Flyers, who used it in the Adirondack Phantoms in the American Hockey League. After the expiry of his contract in the summer of 2011, he was first out of contract before the defender in August 2011 received a Zweiwegvertrag for one year with the St. Louis Blues. For the 2012/13 season Syvret has been committed by the Philadelphia Flyers. Beginning in July 2013 he was transferred in exchange for Kris Newbury to the New York Rangers.
