Danske Bank

Danske Bank A / S is the largest bank in Denmark with headquarters in Copenhagen on Holmen's Canal. The Bank is listed on the stock index OMX Copenhagen 20 on the stock exchange in Copenhagen. The Group consists of Danske Bank, Mortgage Danmark and Danica Pension, the Group offers banking services in several Scandinavian countries, under the name of Fokus Bank. The Northern Ireland Northern Bank and National Irish Bank, the Irish are also subsidiaries. Within Denmark's Danske Bank has further subsidiaries for real estate, capital and leasing transactions.

Company History

On 5 October 1871, the Danske Bank under the name Den Danske Landmandsbank with a registered capital of 2.4 million rix-dollars, or (even then) 4.8 million kroner, was founded. The founding director was Isak Gluckstadt, who together with his son Emil Gluckstadt the largest bank in Scandinavia built until 1921. In 1919, the Bank got cash flow problems, so that the state had to guarantee 1923-1928 for the bank.

The branch in Lithuania is Danske Bank A / S Lietuvos filialas. 2010 it achieved a turnover of 472.044 million litas ( EUR 136.7 million ). SEB bankas has 590 employees ( 2013). The predecessor was founded in December 1994 UAB Lietuvos bankas vystymo ( Development Bank of Lithuania ), which was purchased in September 2000 for licensed commercial bank and December 2000 by the Finnish Sampo. From 2001, she was called SAMPO bankas. 2004 Uzdaroji was akcinė bendrovė ( UAB ) for akcine bendrovė (AB). 2006 bought Danske Bank A / S is the group of SAMPO Bank.
