Dante Amaral

Dante Guimaraes Amaral (born 30 September 1980 in Itumbiara, Brazil) is a Brazilian volleyball player.

Career

Dante Amaral, playing on the position of the external attacker at a height of 2.03 m, started his professional career in 1999 with the Brazilian club Tres Coracoes. He subsequently worked at Suzano São Paulo and Minas Belo Horizonte, where he was able to win the 2002 Brazilian Championship, Dante joined the Italian league to Pallavolo Modena. 2005 Dante moved to the Greek top club Panathinaikos Athens and won a championship in the following years, two cups and the Greek Super Cup. Between 2008 and 2011 he stood for the VK Dynamo Moscow under contract and reached there in 2010 the final of the Volleyball Champions League. Then he went back to his Brazilian homeland RJX Rio de Janeiro.

National

With the Brazilian national team won Dante, one of the top performers of his team, a total of 18 titles. The major awards are the gold medal at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens and the three World Cups in 2002, 2006 and 2010, from which he graduated as the best attacker.
