Dante Spinotti
Dante Spinotti, ASC, BSC ( born August 22, 1943 in Tolmezzo, Udine, Friuli, Italy Province) is an American cinematographer Italian origin.
Biography
Spinotti began his career at Radiotelevisione Italiana before with his uncle, who is also a cameraman, working in Kenya for almost 10 years.
1985 Dino De Laurentiis became aware of him, and made known Spinotti with film director Michael Mann. The thriller Blood Moon made Spinottis debut as U.S. cameraman.
Since then Spinotti is in numerous films behind the camera.
With his wife, Marcella, he lives in both Los Angeles and Rome and his native city Tolmezzo.
