Danuta Wałęsa

Danuta Walesa Mirosława ( born February 25, 1949 in Krypy at Wegrów; born Gołoś ) is the wife of former Polish trade union leader Lech Wałęsa and was during his term as president from 1990 to 1995, the Polish First Lady.

Career

Gołoś married the former shipyard workers Wałęsa on 8 September 1969. The marriage produced eight children were born, including Jarosław Wałęsa (born 1976 ), now a deputy in the European Parliament.

On December 10, 1983 Danuta Walesa took in Oslo on behalf of her husband, who was afraid of being allowed into the country again not at a personal Accepting the prize, the Nobel Peace prize.
