Darcy Campbell ( born May 12, 1984 in Airdrie, Alberta ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is under contract with HC Val Pusteria from the Italian Elite.A since the summer of 2013.

Career

Darcy Campbell began his career as a hockey player in the Canadian Junior Football League Alberta Junior Hockey League, where he was active for the Canmore Eagles and Olds Grizzlys 2002-2004. He then played three years for the team of the University of Alaska Fairbanks, before the defender on 24 March 2007 as a free agent signed a contract with the Columbus Blue Jackets

For the Blzue Jackets he was towards the end of the 2006/07 season his debut in the National Hockey League. However, this remained his only use in the NHL. In the 2007 /08 season the links Sagittarius played instead for their farm team in the American Hockey League, the Syracuse Crunch before he was released on 22 January 2008 along with Philippe Dupuis in exchange for Mark Rycroft on the Colorado Avalanche. In January 2010, Campbell was after 33 games for TPS committed by HC Slavia Prague. After the season, he returned to North America and took in September 2010 at the training camp of the San Antonio Rampage of the AHL in part. Since this had not taken him under contract, Campbell decided to a commitment to the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees of the Central Hockey League. In the season 2010/11 he was 62 points in 60 games of the regular season 's most successful defenders the league and was voted team at end of season to the All- CHL. In August 2011 he received a contract with the Chicago Express of the ECHL. For the following season the Canadians was committed by the Eispiraten Crimmitschau from the 2nd Bundesliga. In the summer of 2013 he changed to the Italian Elite.A, where he signed with HC Val Pusteria.
