Dario Cioni David ( born December 2, 1974 in Reading, England ) is an Italian former racing cyclist.

Cycling career

Dario Cioni began his career as a mountain biker and was several times Italian champion. Because he was not nominated for the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, he decided to concentrate on road cycling. He was initially a professional with Mapei; However, the breakthrough came only at Fassa Bortolo, where he achieved a third place in the Tour de Suisse and Fourth ( 2005) at the Giro d' Italia was. In 2004 he was Italian champion in the time trial.

As of 2005, Cioni drove for the team Liquigas- Bianchi and first participated in the Tour de France. For the 2007 season, he signed a contract with Predictor -Lotto.
