Darío Leonardo Conca ( born May 11, 1983 in General Pacheco, Tigre, Prov. Buenos Aires, Argentina) is an Argentine footballer who has won with CD Universidad Católica in Chile and with the Fluminense FC in Brazil championships. In addition, the attacking midfielder was in 2010 Footballer of the Year in Brazil. In 2011, he joined the Chinese first division club Guangzhou Evergrande. With it, he was winner of the 2013 AFC Champions League.
Career
Darío Conca began playing football at the local CA Tigre on the northern outskirts of Buenos Aires, with whom he made his debut in 2000 as a 15 - year-old in the second-class league Primera B Nacional. In the same year he moved to the top club CA River Plate, where he had to wait, however, until November 2003 on his debut in the first division.
