DarÃo Moreno
Darío Moreno ( born April 3, 1921 in Aydın, † December 1, 1968 in Istanbul ) was a Jewish- Turkish singer and actor.
He was born as David Arugete into a Sephardic family in Aydın. He began his career as a singer in a bar mitzvahs. In 1948 he went to Paris and took there his first records on. In French films, he played mostly exotic characters.
With 47 years, he died at the airport in Istanbul. He is buried in Holon, Israel. In Izmir, a street named after him in Karataş district.
