Formation

By the end of 2010, the band began work on their sixth album. Due to a shoulder injury bassist Marco Coti Zelati could not play concerts and worked at home the first ideas. The musicians decided to collaborate again with the American producer Don Gilmore. The bulk of the recording took place in Milan. Only the vocals and the keyboards were recorded in Gilmore's studio in Los Angeles.

Since the band with the mix of the previous album Shallow Life was dissatisfied, mixed this time Marco Barusso from the album. Barusso previously worked with artists such as Coldplay and Eros Ramazzotti. Although he is a great metal fan, Barusso could never work with a metal band. With Losing My Religion album includes a cover version of an REM song. The song My Spirit is dedicated to the late in 2010 Type O Negative singer Peter Steele.
