Dark Empire is a Power Metal / Progressive Metal / Thrash Metal band from the USA.

History

Dark Empire was founded in early 2004 by guitarist Matt moliti from Verona (New Jersey).

In early 2005 the band started the recordings for their debut album Distant Tides, which was released on 25 April 2006. The album was remastered by the renowned Finnish sound engineer Mikka Jussila, who had already worked with well-known bands like Children of Bodom, Stratovarius, Nightwish and others. The second album Humanity Dethroned was released on 5 May 2008 and got good reviews.
