Darren Turcotte

Darren Turcotte ( born March 2, 1968 in Boston, Massachusetts ) is a retired American professional ice hockey player. During his career he played 1988-2000 for the New York Rangers, Hartford Whalers, Winnipeg Jets, San Jose Sharks, St. Louis Blues and Nashville Predators of the National Hockey League.

Career

Turcotte played for four years from 1984 to 1988 in the Ontario Hockey League with the North Bay Centennials. During this time, he was selected by the New York Rangers in the sixth round of the NHL Entry Draft 1986 114th position.

After the Rangers had used the center as early as the 1987/88 season in the International Hockey League, they did so in the 1988 / 89th In addition, they put him in 20 NHL games. From the 1989/90 season Turcotte belonged to the tribe squad of Rangers in the NHL and took in 1991, in his best NHL season with 67 points in 74 games, the All-Star Game in part. At the end of the exchange period of the game 1993/ 94, the Rangers gave up the Americans for Steve Larmer, two players and a draft pick to the Hartford Whalers. Internationally
