Darren Ray Woodson ( born April 25, 1969 in Phoenix, Arizona ) is a former American professional American football player at the position of the safeties. He played for the Dallas Cowboys in the National Football League ( NFL) and won with them three times the Super Bowl.

College

Woodson played college football at Arizona State University. There he played from 1989 to 1991 as a linebacker. When his opponents Woodson was feared because of his hard play.

NFL

1992 Woodson was selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the second round by 37 out of the NFL Draft. In 1989, the Cowboys Jerry Jones had been purchased.
