Darro (river)

The Río Darro is a river in the province of Granada in southeastern Spain. Originally the river " Aurus " was (gold), later the name was changed by the Arabs in " Hadarro ".

The last 1.6 km of the course to the mouth of the Genil are from the 19th century through the Plaza Nueva, Calle Reyes Catolicos and the Acera del Darro overbuilt, at the Church of Santa Ana y San Gil, the river disappears underground.
