Darryl Johansen

Darryl Keith Johansen ( born February 4, 1959 in Melbourne) is an Australian chess player. Since 1982 he is an International Master by FIDE, in 1995, he was Grand Master.

In 1977 he became an Australian Youth Champion. Six times he could win the Individual Championship of Australia (1984, 1988, 1990, 2000, 2002 and 2012 ), making it a record holder. The Australian Open (which is the Australian open championship ) he won in 1983, 1991 ( shared with Lembit Oll, Edvīns Kengis and Tony Miles ), 1997 and 2009.
