The Dartmouth Bridge is a box girder bridge crossing the Mississippi River in Minneapolis, Minnesota spans between Cedar - Riverside and the campus of the University of Minnesota. It was designed by Parsons Brinckerhoff Quade and Douglas and and built in 1964.

The bridge has compared to the other crossings of the Mississippi River in the vicinity an unusual appearance. However, daily drive on this bridge more vehicles than any other route in Minnesota; between the center of Minneapolis and Saint Paul travel on Interstate 94 approximately 167,000 vehicles per day .. The approximately 38 m long, 148 short ton heavy box beams were constructed in Gary, Indiana, and the Mississippi River upstream transported by barge in October 1963.

By early August, the bridge crossed four lanes in both directions across the river. In each case a trace of it is used to delay or accelerate at the connection points Huron Boulevard ( east bank ) and Riverside Avenue ( west bank ). After the collapse of the I-35W Mississippi River bridge a diversion of traffic was set up, via a five -kilometer stretch of I- 94 on the Dartmouth Bridge before then 280 via the Minnesota State Highway north. To accommodate the additional traffic load, the two carriageways were re-marked; it lead since the end of August 2007 now five lanes in both directions on the bridge.
