Darvis Patton Darell ( born December 4, 1977 in Dallas ) is an American track and field athlete.

Darvis was a very versatile athlete in his youth. He denied during his time at the high school and college competitions in the long jump and high jump. Later he focused however on the sprint.

The biggest success of his career celebrated Patton at the 2003 World Championships in Paris / Saint- Denis. As a member of the U.S. 4 x 100 - meter relay, he and John Capel, Bernard Williams and Joshua J. Johnson World Champion. In the race over 200 meters Patton defeated his teammate John Capel scarce. With a time of 20.31 s Patton was at the end only a hundredth of a second behind Capel and won silver.

In the heats used, he was awarded with the 4 x 100 meters relay silver medal at the Olympic Games 2004. Another Olympic silver medal in the relay arrived in London in 2012 added.

In the two following years he was plagued by injuries. In 2007 it went up again: When the Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro, he won silver in the 100 -meter run at the 2007 World Championships he reached with the 4 x 100 - meter relay in the USA the gold medal. In 2008 he was at the Olympic Games in Beijing eight over 100 meters.
