Das Monster von Minden

As a monster of Minden are referred from the Upper Jurassic near the East Westphalian city of Minden in North Rhine -Westphalia found fossil remains of a hitherto undescribed theropod.

The fossils of the dinosaur include, among other things, an upper jaw, a Zwischenkieferbein, two caudal vertebrae, a tooth, rib fragments and a complete rib.

A wider public were known for an article in the German edition of National Geographic, the fossils in November 1999. According to the article, the whole fin is a half times as large as that of an Allosaurus, the tooth is to have root with a length of about 30 cm. Overall, the animal should have been about 15 meters long, which would be the biggest theropod found in Europe.

The complete skull was by Mickey Mortimer about a meter long, the total length of the Monsters of Minden he gives, however, with seven to eight meters.
