Dasing

Dasing is a municipality in the Swabian district Aichach -Friedberg and office of the Management Community Dasing. Districts are Dasing, Laimering, Lindl, vineyards, and Taiting Wessiszell.

Geography

Dasing lies in the planning region of Augsburg.

There are the following districts: Dasing, Laimering, vineyards, Taiting, Wessiszell, Ziegelbach, Tattenhausen.

History

Archaeological findings suggest that in Roman times was a civil brickworks in the district Laimering.

From the year 696 AD, the oldest known Germanic water mill of the Alps, which was discovered in Paartal Dasing in 1993 comes north.

The Lords of Massenhausen settled around 1317 in Dasing. The Wittelsbach had in the districts Taiting, vineyards and Laimering also very early on rich land. Dasing belonged as a basic rule later for imperial abbey of St. Ulrich and Afra. 1632, during the Thirty Years' War, the local castle (see Postal Dasing ) went to St. Francis under the onslaught of Sweden into flames. The village was part of the Electorate of Bavaria and formed a closed Hofmark, which fell in 1803 by the secularisation of Bavaria. In the course of administrative reform in the Kingdom of Bavaria was born with the congregation of 1818, the current community.

Incorporations

On January 1, 1972, the formerly independent communities vineyards and Wessiszell were incorporated. Laimering and Taiting followed on 1 July 1972. On January 1, 1974, added a small area of the disbanded community Harthausen then with about 20 inhabitants. On 1 July 1976, a portion of the dissolved municipality Burgadelzhausen. Finally, about 30 residents of the municipality resolved Stätzling and 15 residents of the neighboring community Obergriesbach were taken on 1 May 1978.

Community partnership

Dasing maintains a partnership with the Polish community Siedlce and the Austrian town of chambers in Liesingtal.

Culture and sights

The main attraction is the parish church of St. Martin. In the district of St. Francis, there are the remains of the castle stables Dasing. Mention should be made, especially the vaulted cellars still largely preserved. Furthermore, there is near the district Unterzell a ground monument, possibly a remnant of an attached court or of an early medieval castle protection, the so-called ring wall in cherry wood ( Haberskirch ).

Since 2004, the Süddeutsche Karl May Festival with famous artists such as Horst Janson take place in Dasing regularly in the summer.

Economy, agriculture and forestry

It was in 1998 according to official statistics in the field of Agriculture and Forestry 21, 535 in manufacturing and in trade and transport 199 persons work at the workplace. In other areas, were employed to social security at the workplace 286 people. Social insurance contributions at residence, there was total in 1780. In manufacturing, there was no one in the construction industry 14 companies. Traffic

The place is situated on the Autobahn 8 and the federal highway 300 Dasing has a station on the pair of roller coaster Augsburg- Ingolstadt and is served by regional trains every half hour.
