Daubert-Standard

The Daubert standard is applied in one of the U.S. law since 1993 catalog of criteria that is used to check whether a method, a theory, or the like. scientific principles is sufficient. A famous example of the application of this inspection catalog with regard to the reliability of expert testimony is the legal assessment of the so-called intelligent design, so the argument advanced by the neo- creationist hypothesis of a creative process as the origin of life on Earth.

The four Daubert criteria:

The older Frye standard included only the last criterion, namely whether the method is recognized in the relevant specialist area. Due to the recent Daubert standard methods such as the polygraph not before U.S. courts are therefore recognized.
