Dauin, Negros Oriental

Dauin is a Philippine municipality in the province of Negros Oriental. It has 25 239 inhabitants ( census May 1, 2010 ).

The municipality of Dauin is bordered to the north by Bacong, to the south Zamboanguita. In the west a mountain range forms the border to Santa Catalina. Dauin is located on the east coast of the island of Negros.

For the municipality includes the island of Apo, which is a popular spot for scuba divers. Apo can be reached in about 30 minutes by boat from the mainland.
