Dave Karpa

David J. "Dave" Carpathians ( born May 7, 1971 in Regina, Saskatchewan ) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player who is in the National Hockey League between 1992 and 2003 for the Quebec Nordiques, Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, Carolina Hurricanes and New York Rangers played.

Career

Dave Carpathians began his career as a hockey player with the Notre Dame Hounds, for which he was active from 1988 to 1990 in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League. He then spent two years playing for the team from Ferris State University. During this period, the defender in the NHL Entry Draft in 1991 was selected in the fourth round as a total of 68 players from the Quebec Nordiques.

For the Nordiques he gave towards the end of the 1991/92 season his debut in the National Hockey League, where he remained no points in four games. After three years in Quebec, where he mainly for their farm team of the American Hockey League, the Halifax Citadel and Cornwall Aces stood on the ice, the links Sagittarius changed during the season 1994 /95 League rivals the Nordiques, the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim. In his three years in Anaheim Carpathian always had a regular place in the Californians, the Carolina Hurricanes before he joined in the summer of 1998, for which he spent another three seasons in the NHL. It was followed by two years with the New York Rangers, before joining the AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins Club for season 2003/ 04.

After only 29 games with his new team of Canadians signed with Amur Khabarovsk of the Russian Super League, for which he was a master in twelve games. For the season 2004 /05 he returned to North America, where it ran aground first for the San Diego Gulls of the ECHL. His career ended the former NHL player after brief stint playing in the AHL Teams Syracuse Crunch and Bridgeport Sound Tigers in 2006 at the age of 35 years.
