David Craig Mackay ( born November 14, 1934 in Edinburgh ) is a former Scottish football player and coach. His most successful period as a player he was in 1961, when he was with Tottenham Hotspur English champion and cup winner. As a coach, he led Derby County in 1975 to the English Championship.

Career as a player

Mackay began his career as a player at Heart of Midlothian a club from his home town of Edinburgh. In the season 1957/58 he won with his club confident the Scottish Cup against Rangers.
