Dave Pell

David "Dave" Pell ( born February 26, 1925 in Brooklyn, New York) is an American jazz musician, saxophonist, bandleader, arranger, composer and producer.

Dave Pell played from the early 1940s with Bob Astor, Tony Pastor and Bobby Sherwood. Then he moved to California and worked with Bob Crosby and its own octet, with whom he has published numerous boards in the 1950s. Pell was from 1948 to 1955 and member of the orchestra of Les Brown and was employed as manager of the record company tops. In the 1960s, he withdrew temporarily from the jazz scene and worked as a producer for the record label, Liberty Records and United Artists.
