Dave Peverett

"Lonesome " Dave Peverett ( born April 16, 1943 in Dulwich, England; † February 7, 2000 in Orlando ( Florida) ) was an English blues and hard rock musician. He became known as the frontman of the rock band Foghat.

Peverett grew up in Brixton in south London. At first, he played in the local band The Roadrunners, later he became frontman of the Cross Ties Blues Band. This was followed by short stages in the Lonesome Jax Blues Band and the Swiss rock band Les Questions. Finally, he returned to England, where he Savoy Brown joined as a guitarist and singer.

In 1971 he was in London a founding member of Foghat With the band, he moved in 1976 to New York City. For fourteen years he was the frontman of Foghat, up to wish the plate sales of the band remains to them and Peverett 1985 returned to England. In 1990, Lonesome Dave's Foghat Peverett. The new band toured as a counterpart of the Roger Earl's Foghat still exist in the USA. 1993 saw a reunion of the two bands Foghat. The band remained from then on in nearly the same line- together, was diagnosed until 1999 Peverett cancer.

On February 7, 2000 died of "Lonesome " Dave Peverett in Orlando ( Florida) his cancer.
