Life
Dave Smalley earned a bachelor's degree from Boston College and a Masters in Politics at California State University, Los Angeles. He worked for a time as a teacher. Today he lives in Fredericksburg, Virginia, where he writes for The Free Lance -Star, a daily newspaper of the city.
In 1983, the band Smalley DYS, which initially followed for the Boston straight edge scene crucial war.Danach the post- hardcore band Dag Nasty, then the punk band ALL and finally 1989 Down By Law. Smalley also occurs as a solo singer-songwriter.
