Dave Weldon

David Joseph "Dave" Weldon ( born August 31, 1953 in Amityville, Long Iceland, New York) is an American politician. Between 1995 and 2009 he represented the state of Florida in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Dave Weldon visited until 1971, the Farmington High School and then studied until 1978 at the State University of New York, the biochemistry. Until 1981 he attended the medical faculty of the university. From 1981 to 1987 he was a member of the U.S. Army, the Reserve he served until 1992. He then worked as a doctor of internal medicine in Florida.

Politically, Weldon joined the Republican Party. In the congressional elections of 1994 he was in the 15th electoral district of Florida in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC chosen, where he became the successor of Jim Bacchus on January 3, 1995. After six re- election he was able to complete in Congress until January 3, 2009, seven legislative sessions. These were shaped by the events of 11 September 2001 and the Iraq war. Weldon was a member of the Appropriations Committee and in two of its subcommittees.

In 2008, Weldon gave up another candidacy. Since his retirement from the U.S. House of Representatives, he works as a doctor again. He is married and has two children.
