Davenescourt

Davenescourt ( Picard: Davnécourt ) is a northern French village with 515 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) in the department of Somme in the Picardie region. The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Montdidier, is part of the Communauté de communes du canton de Montdidier, in the canton Montdidier.

Geography

The municipality is located in the countryside Santerre mostly on the right ( northern ) bank of the Avre and at the junction of the D41 and D160 roads department approximately 9.5 kilometers north of Montdidier.

History

The municipality received the Croix de guerre as a distinction from 1914 to 1918.
