David Attenborough

Sir David Frederick Attenborough, OM, CH, CVO, CBE ( born May 8, 1926 in London ) is a British wildlife filmmaker and naturalist. David Attenborough is best known for its award- winning nature documentaries that he produced on behalf of the BBC. He is the younger brother of director and actor Richard Attenborough.

Education and professional career

Attenborough visited the Wyggeston Grammar School for Boys in Leicester and won a scholarship to Clare College, Cambridge, where he earned a degree in science.

He entered 1947 in the British Navy ( Royal Navy ) and served there for two years. He then worked for a publishing company. In 1952 he established the first contacts with the BBC. His relationship with science programs began in 1954 with the series Zoo Quest.

From 1965 to 1968 Attenborough worked as controller of BBC2.
