David Bamber

David James Bamber ( born September 19, 1954 in Walkden, Lancashire, England ) is a British film and stage actor.

David Bamber is the youngest of four children of a miner and a nurse, and grew up in Manchester, where he gained first experiences as an actor in the youth theater. First Bamber did not want to be an actor, and focus on the training of actors. But he changed his mind, graduated from Bristol University and received a scholarship to the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art Although Bamber was present in numerous Shakespearean plays at the National Theatre, he was still not a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company.

Since 1982, Bamber also faces the camera, his debut was the comedy film Privates on Parade. Although Bamber mainly known in England than in the rest of Europe, yet he has been involved in recent years in some well-known Hollywood feature films. So he stood in 2002 in The Bourne Identity in front of the camera, and in the same year for Gangs of New York. 2005 saw Bamber's international breakthrough when he historical personality Marcus Tullius Cicero embodied in the television series Rome. In Bryan Singer's film about the failed attempt to assassinate Hitler Valkyrie - The Stauffenberg assassination in 2008 Bamber took over the role of Adolf Hitler.

David Bamber is married to British actress Julia Swift since 1982. The couple has two children together.
