David Boggs

David Reeves Boggs ( born 1950 ) is an American electrical and radio engineering. He developed early versions of the Internet Protocol, file servers, protocol converters, network cards and, along with Robert Metcalfe, Ethernet, the most popular technology for local area computer networks.

Boggs is a graduate of Princeton University, graduated with a master ( 1973) and his PhD in 1982 in electrical engineering from Stanford University.
