David Booth (ice hockey)

David Booth ( * November 24, 1984 in Detroit, Michigan ) is an American professional ice hockey player who is since October 2011 at the Vancouver Canucks of the National Hockey League contract.

Career

David Booth began his career as a hockey player in the United States Hockey League, where he ran aground in the 2001/ 02 season for the team from the U.S. National Team Development Program. From 2002 to 2006, the attackers played four years for the ice hockey team of Michigan State University. During this time he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2004 in the second round than a total of 53 players from the Florida Panthers. While the Americans in his first season in Florida also for their farm team of the American Hockey League, the Rochester Americans, ran aground, he played since the 2007 /08 season exclusively for the Panthers in the National Hockey League. On 23 October 2011 he was given along with Steven Reinprecht in a barter against Marco Sturm and Mikael Samuelsson of the Vancouver Canucks.

Internationally

David Booth won with the United States in the Junior World Championship 2004 in our own country the gold medal. Furthermore, Booth scored a goal in seven games for the national team at the World Ice Hockey Championship 2008.
