David Clayton (visual effects)
David Clayton (* in Brisbane, Queensland) is an Australian film technician who specializes in visual effects.
Life
Clayton studied at the Queensland University of Technology. His first work on Peter Jackson's company Weta Digital was his work in the film The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, who in 2004 received eleven Oscars and at the same time is his first collaboration with Jackson. Clayton's personal biggest successes were the Oscar nominations for The Hobbit - An Unexpected Journey and The Hobbit - Smaug wasteland, which are the third and fourth collaboration with Jackson, respectively.
Clayton is married and has two daughters.
