David Daniell (cyclist)

David Daniell ( born December 23, 1989 in Middlesbrough ) is a British racing cyclist.

As a junior, David Daniell in 2006 in Ghent World Champion in the Team Sprint, together with Jason Kenny and Christian Lyte; in the 1000 -meter time trial, he finished third. Also along with Kenny and Lyte he was in Athens Junior European Champion and European Champion in the time trial. In 2007 he was again in Aguascalientes Junior World Champion in the team sprint, with Lyte and Peter Mitchell, Keirin, he was vice-champion. In Cottbus Daniell won the title of European Junior champion in the sprint, was second in the team sprint ( with Lyte and Peter Buck ) and third in the Keirin. At the national level, he was two-time British junior champion in the sprint and time trial. The following year he was twice runner-up junior European champion in the team sprint with Lyte and Matthew Crampton and in the time trial, he also won a national title for the first time in the elite class, also with Lyte and Crampton.

As of 2009, Daniell also launched internationally in the elite. In the UCI Track World Championships 2010 in Copenhagen, he was seventh in the time trial and won at the Commonwealth Games in Delhi, the silver medal in the Keirin.
