David DeCoteau
David DeCoteau ( born January 5, 1962 Portland, Oregon) is an American film director and film producer.
Life
DeCoteau was born in 1962 in Portland. After leaving school, he started in the mid 1980s in the film industry to act, as he was for Roger Corman as a production assistant. He turned and produced since 1986 more than one hundred films, mostly horror films, low budget film, which he also staged under numerous pseudonyms such as Ellen Cabot and Julian Breen. In 2010 he launched the series in 1313 in which he handled numerous horror myths. Since 2010 he is also increasingly active as a cameraman of his own films. For several years he has worked regularly with the cutter Danny Draven.
He often worked with the film producer Charles band together.
DeCoteau, who also has Canadian citizenship, lives openly homosexual in California.
