David Fonseca

David Fonseca ( born June 14, 1973 in Marrazes ) is a Portuguese pop singer and songwriter.

Life

He graduated from film studies at the Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema and worked as a fashion photographer. In 1995 he had founded the group in Leiria Silence 4, both with their concerts, as well as the sales of their two albums had great success in Portugal. 2002 Fonseca began his solo career and got out of the band, which broke up then.

In 2003 he released his first solo album. Sing me something new peaked at number two on the charts in Portugal. The 2005 follow-up album Our hearts will beat as one then finished in first place of the Portuguese charts. The video for Hold still, his duet with Rita Redshoes, whom he invited to his companion, he turned in London. His following publications reached top positions of the charts.

Fonseca was nominated for the MTV Europe Music Awards 2003 and 2005.

In 2004 he was involved in the Humanos project, a tribute band for the prematurely deceased pop musician António Variações, in which, inter alia, the Clã singer Manuela Azevedo, the fado singer Camané, and the Bunny Ranch musician João Cardoso participated.

Fonseca's concert at Coliseu dos Recreios of 12 April 2008 saw a DVD and CD.

Since the beginning of his solo career, he designed the cover of his own publications, and makes his own video clips.
