David G. Lowe

David Lowe is a Canadian computer scientist, professor at the Computer Science Department at the University of British Columbia and a member of the Laboratory for Computational Intelligence. His research spanning the fields of computer vision and object recognition. Lowe became known primarily through the development of the SIFT algorithm, which is used for object recognition and for Autostitching.
